Everyone has a novel in them, right? For actor Millie Bobby Brown, that novel is a fictionalized account of her grandmothers experience of the Bethnal Green Tube Disaster, a horrific moment in WWII when hundreds of Londoners died while attempting to enter an underground shelter during an air raid. Said Brown of the book:

Inspired by my Nanny Ruth, this book is very personal and close to my heart. I grew up listening to stories about her time living through the war. Im honored to keep her story alive.

Itd be easy to be snarky about a 19-year-old celebrity publishing historical fiction with a major US imprint (Morrow), but I havent read the book. Who knows, maybe Brown will follow in the footsteps of fellow thespians-turned-authors David Duchovny and Ethan Hawke? Morrow executive editor Liz Stein is pretty psyched about the book:

I was incredibly moved by the haunting, true tragedy at the core of the novel and enchanted by the unforgettable portrait of love in the time of war.

Translation: Camera-ready global celebrities move units.
